Meet the founders
Hello there! We're the team behind Fado, pronounced fahdu /ˈfɑːdoʊ/, a lighting and decor company grounded in Indian designs, illuminating spaces across the world. Every product we craft is a blend of traditional Indian aesthetics and contemporary designs, tailored for modern living spaces. From the vibrant bazaars of Jaipur to the serene workshops of Kerala, our designs draw inspiration from the soul of India's rich heritage.
Our journey began while decorating our homes in San Francisco, where we struggled to find lamps that felt just right. Many designs on the market were either too plain, lacking texture and prints, or didn't align with our color palette. We felt disconnected from the rich art and vibrant colors of India.
This inspired our pursuit to create lamps that make us feel at home. We hope you love our collection as much as we do!
